Title: On Chern numbers of Hilbert schemes of points on K3 surfaces and some applications
Abstract:
I will explain recent work with Jieao Song and Claire Voisin in which we determine 
the top Chern character numbers of the punctual Hilbert schemes of a K3 surface and the generalized Kummer 
varieties. As an application to the cobordism ring, we show that the subring of varieties with vanishing odd 
Chern numbers is generated by the punctual Hilbert schemes of K3 surfaces. I will also discuss a general 
conjecture about the structure of Chern character numbers of Hilb(K3).
