On Multi-Touch Interfaces for Music Improvisation: The Blues Machine Project

Abstract: In this work we discuss a new paradigm of making music with computers. By using a multi-touch interface, musically important effects, like bends, are allowed. By presenting only the scale notes, musicians can concentrate only in the melodic line, making easier the task of improvising, even for newbie's.
