Visitors Program
IMPA
has a wide visitor program, comparable to the best mathematical institution
worldwide. The high scientific standards of the research projects developed by
IMPA visitors, from Brazil and other countries, significantly contributes to the
excellent environment that the institution offers to their students, specially
at the PhD level.
IMPA
keeps an intense exchange program with researchers from other Brazilian
institutions, contributing to the progress of mathematical research in our
country. On the other hand, IMPA researchers and students benefit from the
frequent presence of Brazilian visitors.
The normal procedure for applying for a visitor position in
IMPA starts with a contact with an IMPA researcher whose interests are close to
the applicant's research area. Once the mutual interest is confirmed, the
applicant must fill the correspondent form in .pdf or.doc format.
