On line Admission Procedure
All admission requests for the graduate programs at IMPA are analysed by the Graduate Studies' Committee. Students interested in applying for these programs should fill out the on line application through the website: http://ensino.impa.br, and follow the steps given:
I - Fill out the online application.
II - Attach
the candidate’s Academic Transcript, which is
an official document stating your course, subjects and results, completion date,
graduation date and signature.
- If the applicant has yet to conclude the undergraduate course when he submits his application, the Graduate Studies' Division will accept university records that are as complete as possible.
IV - A letter written by the candidate stating his plans during and after the course he plans to take. He should include a list of university-level Mathematics books of which he has read a substantial part.
Observation:
a) For admittance in the period starting in March, the on line application deadline has been extended to November 10th.
b) All requested
documents do not return to the candidate.
c) Only complete applications (with
all information and documents) will be considered.
d) The Graduate
Studies' Committee will inform candidates of its decision at least one month before classes
begin.
